Chinese smartphone maker Nubia had showcased the Z11 Mini S at MWC 2017 last month, and has now launched the smartphone in India. The Nubia Z11 Mini S is priced at Rs 16,999, and will be available exclusively via Amazon India starting tomorrow at 4PM IST. The Nubia Z11 Mini S flaunts an aircraft-grade aluminium body with a unibody design and come with a fingerprint sensor at the back of the smartphone. The main USP of Nubia s latest smartphone is that it come with an improved 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor camera. This is the same camera sensor that Asus has used in its Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone. The nubia Z11 Mini S is the improved version of the nubia Z11 Mini launched in October last year for Rs 12,999. Apart from the camera improvements, the smartphone now comes with a bezel-less design and the FiT 2.0 technology will also be on display, which controls certain pre-set functions of the phone.
The Nubia Z11 Mini S has a 23-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) that is paired with contrast autofocus. The company promises that the camera can focus on objects in as less as 0.1 seconds. Apart from this, the rear camera comes with an f/2.0 aperture and a sapphire protective lens. Talking about the selfie camera, the Nubia Z11 Mini S sports a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 CMOS sensor with PDAF and contrast autofocus, an f/2.0 aperture, and an 80-degree wide-angle lens.ALSO READ: Nubia Z11 Mini S Review
The Nubia Z11 Mini S also features a 5.2-inch full HD display with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display offers a pixel density of 424ppi and brightness of 450 nits. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. The processor is paired with the Adreno 506 graphics processor and 4GB of RAM. Also on offer is 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via mciroSD card.
Backed by a non-removable 3,000mAh battery, the smartphone extends support for Nubia branded NeoPower energy saving algorithm. The device has dual SIM support and 4G connectivity as well. The smartphone comes with NeoSafe 2.0 technology to make NFC-based payments secure. On the software front, the smartphone run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
In comparison, the nubia Z11 Mini features a 5-inch full-HD display, 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The phone features a brand-new NeoVision 5.8 DSLR-level photography system, fingerprint sensor which can be used as a camera shutter button or for taking screenshots. It packs a 16 MP primary (rear) camera with Sony IMX298 sensor and an F2 aperture. It sports an 8-megapixel front camera for selfie lovers.
In terms of competition, the smartphone will face neck-to-neck competitions with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo P2 and Moto G5 Plus.
