ZTE subsidiary Nubia has sent out media invites for an event in India on December 14, where it plans to launch two new smartphones — Nubia Z11 and the Nubia N1. Both smartphones have already been launched in China, and in essence, the only things left to know is their pricing and availability details for India. It flaunts a unibody metal design in what the company calls Obsidian Gold color, and for audiophiles there’s support for Dolby ATMOS, and SmartPA amplifier. The Nubia N1, which was launched back in July, is the more affordable variant of the two. It too flaunts a metal body, and among its highlights is the 13-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie lovers. Nubia Z11 specifications
The Nubia Z11 flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 2.15GHz. The smartphone was launched in two variants in China — 64GB storage variant with 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage variant with 6GB RAM. Both variants support microSD card for expansion of internal storage, and it remains to be seen which variant is launched in India.
For photography, the Z11 is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash, and support for OIS and PDAF. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, Dolby ATMOS technology and SmartPA amplifier for audiophiles, and a 3,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under Nubia UI 4.0.
Nubia N1 specifications
The Nubia N1 flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 401ppi, and is powered by a 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core SoC. The processor is paired with Mali T860 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and there is also 64GB onboard storage on offer that can be expanded using a microSD card.
Besides the 13-megapixel selfie camera, the N1 is also equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, and PDAF support. There is a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, and the device is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery that Nubia claims is good enough for up to three days of moderate usage.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and USB Type-C support. On the software front, the N1 runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under Nubia UI 4.0.
Nubia Z11, Nubia N1 prices
The Nubia Z11 is on sale in China in two variants. The 64GB variant is priced at RMB 2,499 (Rs 25,000 approximately), while the 128GB variant is priced at RMB 3,499 (Rs 35,000 approximately). The Nubia N1, on the other hand, is on sale in China priced at RMB 1,699 (Rs 17,000 approximately).
