Nubia is geared up to announce two smartphones in India today. The ZTE subsidiary had sent out media invites last week for the launch of the Nubia Z11 and Nubia N1. While the Z11 is a premium smartphone boasting bezel-less display, the N1 is an affordable device. Both the Nubia Z11 and N1 have been already launched in China where they sell for RMB 2,499 (Rs 25,000 approximately) and RMB 1,699 (Rs 17,000 approximately) respectively for their base variants. Highlight of the Nubia Z11 is its bezel-less display and 6GB of RAM. The Nubia N1, on the other hand, boasts a metal unibody design with 13-megapixel camera for selfie lovers. Nubia Z11 specifications
Nubia Z11 features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone also features Frame interactive Technology 2.0 (FiT 2.0) with a Handheld Electronic Aperture for the bezel-less quality. Nubia recently claimed that the new, near-edgeless device will be different from Frameless Industrial Design of other brands.
Under the hood is Qualcomm s Snapdragon 820 quad core processor clocked at 2.15GHz. Although the smartphone is available in two storage variants of 4GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM +128GB of internal storage, it is unclear if both the variants will make it to India. For photography, the Nubia Z11 features a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and PDAF. For selfies, it houses an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone also comes with a rear fingerprint sensor and other features include Dolby ATMOS technology and SmartPA amplifier for audiophiles. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under Nubia UI 4.0.
Nubia N1 specifications
The Nubia N1 which will be affordable of the two smartphones, features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 401ppi. Under the hood is 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core SoC coupled with Mali T860 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It further includes 64GB internal storage which can be further boosted using microSD card.
Highlight of the Nubia N1 is its 13-megapixel front camera for selfies. It has a 13-megapixel camera even at the back with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, and PDAF support. Akin to the Nubia Z11, the N1 also features a rear fingerprint sensor. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 5,000mAh battery that Nubia claims is good enough for up to three days of moderate usage.
