As is the case with ZTE s Nubia smartphones, the Z18 mini too has been launched in China. There are two variants to choose from based on the internal storage. The 64GB variant is priced at RMB 1,799 (Rs 18,600 approximately), while the 128GB variant is priced at RMB 2,099 (Rs 21,700 approximately). There is also a special edition dubbed Limited Provence Edition that costs RMB 2,199 (Rs 22,800 approximately). Buyers will be able to choose from color options like white, black, light blue, purple, and pink. There is, however, no word on whether this smartphone will ever be available in international markets.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Nubia Z18 mini flaunts a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with (2160×1080 pixels) resolution, and 18:9 aspect ratio. As for design, the smartphone features a glass sandwich body with Gorilla Glass on either side of an aluminum frame.
Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. For security, there s a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, as well as face unlock feature. Interestingly, there s an AI assistant onboard that is designed by ZTE. It is called NeoSmart AI, and it comes with a dedicated voice button.

For photography, there s a dual-camera setup at the back. This setup includes a 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The camera setup allows users to shoot photos with bokeh effects. For selfies, there s an 8-megapixel front snapper with f/2.0 aperture, and 80-degree wide-angle field of view.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G support, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/ n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou Navigation. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box wrapped under NeoVision 7.0 UI.
