Adding weight to the rumors surrounding Nvidia s very own tablet, the Tegra Tab P1640 has now appeared in certificates posted on NCC, which also show off the front and back of the forthcoming tablet, techkiddy spotted. It was earlier seen in photos as well as in benchmarks surfaced on web, and is expected to be unveiled at IFA 2013 in Berlin, which starts later this week. Rumors suggest that the Nvidia Tegra Tab 4 will come with 7-inch display offering 1280×768 pixels resolution, however with Nvidia s Tegra 4 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz under the hood, there is a possibility that it might come with a 1080p display. The software will likely be powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The Tegra 4 powered tablet is believed to feature dual-cameras, with a 5-megapixel on the rear though the front camera resolution remains unknown. Connectivity-wise, this tablet might come with calling capability as there are rumors of it carrying a SIM tray as well. Besides this, it will come with support for a micro HDMI port, micro USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Stylus as well.
For those who still doubt the tablet s existence, we remind you that this is not the first time that Nvidia will be launching its own hardware, as the chipset maker had earlier announced its own hardware – the Shield handheld gaming console as well.
