Ola Bike service launched in Agra

Ola app users in Agra, Uttar Pradesh will be able to book Ola Bikes starting September 17.

Ola today launched ‘Ola Bike’ service in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. It has now become 17th city to get the Ola Bike service in India. Ola said that the company is addressing last-mile connectivity for Ola users by enabling convenient Ola Bike ride mobility in one of the fastest growing cities in Uttar Pradesh. The company flagging-off the first batch of bikes today in presence of D.K Singh, RTO Officer, Agra and Ola’s Regional Head North, Pranav Mehta.

Starting today, Ola Bike will appear as a separate category alongside Micro, Mini etc within the Ola app for users in India. Similar to cab booking in other categories, users will be able to book an Ola Bike on the app now. At present, Ola offers ‘Prime’, ‘Mini’, ‘Ola Auto’, ‘Ola Share’, ‘Ola Rental’, and ‘Ola Outstation’ services in Agra.

The press statement from Ola notes that on-the-basis of pick-up location, the nearest Ola Bike will get assigned and the commuters will have access to Ola’s all key features including driver partner details displayed upfront. Users will also be able to track ride, share directions, do trip navigation, use emergency button, offline booking, easy payment using Ola Money, location and mapping innovations such as Hotspots.

“At Ola, we are focused on building smart mobility solutions that cater to the unique needs of the Indian customer. Ola Bike will be a useful and cost effective service for short trips,” said Pranav Mehta, Regional Head North at Ola. “The launch of Ola Bike will not only offer innovative commute options for citizens, but also offer employment opportunities to job seekers across the state. This move takes us a step closer in achieving our mission of building mobility for a billion people.”

Ola also notes that bike driver partners will be able to use the Ola app in 9 languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu.
