OnePlus has partnered Ola cabs to offer all interested buyers a hands-on with the OnePlus 2, before making the purchase. The taxi service app will introduce the service inside the app , which will allow users to ask for a physical t te-a t te with the OnePlus 2 for a short while. The app will have an additional ‘OnePlus’ button at the bottom. On pressing the button, the user will have a nearby driver bring the OnePlus 2 to the desired address for a brief hands-on experience with the smartphone. Users often feel the need to do a physical check of the smartphone, before making the purchase, and Ola cabs and OnePlus’ partnership strives to do just that. For now, we don’t see the OnePlus button on Ola’s Android or iOS app. We’ve contacted Ola and will update this story when we get a response
The OnePlus 2 essentially will only be available on Amazon India from tomorrow via the invite model. The company has already received 3 million registrations for the OnePlus 2, hinting at the demand of the smartphone. Initially, the company will be selling the 64GB variant for Rs 24,999, followed by the 16GB version, priced at Rs 22,999, at a later date.

On the hardware front, it features a 5.5-inch 1080p display and is powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor. While the 64GB version comes with 4GB of RAM, the 16GB variant will include a 3GB RAM.
It also features a 13-megapixel main camera along with laser auto-focus and OIS to take blur-free photos and videos, a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies, and a 3,300mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the handset supports 4G LTE, dual-SIM slot, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Oxygen OS based on Android Lollipop.
