One of the most interesting benefits is in-cab Wi-Fi facility. Select customers will be able to connect to a free Wi-Fi network during their commute. Losing mobile connectivity while commuting is a really frustrating experience, and using free Wi-Fi would be a boon. It will be interesting to see the kind of connectivity speeds and signal strength on offer in cabs. Also Read - Ola India set to launch first electric scooter in 2021
Other benefits include free upgrades to a sedan or prime cabs, special discounts, as well as exclusive benefits from Ola’s partners like Myntra, Snapdeal and Cleartrip. “At Ola, we have always believed in redefining mobility in a way that people don’t find the need to own a car. Many of our customers use us every single day of their lives and Ola Select is our way of treating them ultra-special,” Sudarshan Gangrade, Vice President- Marketing at Ola said.
“Ola Select aims to give loyal users, a wide range of benefits like in-cab Wi-Fi, upgrades, exclusive offers from our partners and more. We are confident that Ola Select customers would enjoy the additional benefits and continue to be patrons and evangelists in our mission of mobility for a billion people.”
At the moment there is no way to apply for the Ola Select program, or any word on the pricing. The company is on a trial phase wherein it is inviting some customers based on their ‘usage behavior and frequency, among other parameters’.
