Ola, India s leading mobile app for transportation, organised over 500 shuttles from popular party hubs across Delhi/NCR covering over 50 routes to enable thousands of party-goers on the New Year to reach home safely. The company partnered with over 150 restaurants and pubs at five of the most popular destinations including Connaught Place, Hauz Khas Village, Select City Walk, Saket, in Delhi and Cyber Hub and Leisure Valley in Gurgaon offering users an option to head home safe at the onset of 2016. Covering over 50 routes, more than 10,000 people used the Ola Shuttle services and were dropped home. This is in addition to over a million booking requests on the Ola app, which were received on New Year s Eve across the country.
To ensure safety and security of commuters, Ola Shuttle had put in place a host of security measures including a security officer in every Shuttle, multiple security officers at all pickup points, quick response teams and a centralized control room for seamless communication and immediate action in case of any emergency. The security officers in the vehicles also ensured that every user was escorted till his or her apartment gate.
