OnePlus 2 launched the OnePlus 2 with much fanfare yesterday. The price of the 64GB smartphone variant is at Rs 24,999, while the 16GB is set to come out sometime later this year at the price of Rs 22,999. While we wait for the sale to begin on August 11, here s a look at the stunning new OnePlus 2 from all possible angles.

With respect to design, the OnePlus 2 boasts of a premium build complete with a magnesium aluminum alloy frame and a removable back cover that can be swapped with what OnePlus calls are StyleSwap covers.

The four additional back covers – bamboo, black apricot, rosewood, and kevlar – look very edgy and further modernize the look of the OnePlus 2. The company claims that the back covers are damp-proof, flame retardant and scratch-resistant.

As promised there is a USB Type-C port at the bottom, and an interesting slider button on the left, which the company calls Alert Slider . This button essentially lets users toggle between the kind of notifications you want at any particular moment. Up front, sitting under the screen is a home button with a fingerprint scanner integrated. OnePlus says that this is one of most advanced scanners out there, and is much faster the iPhones TouchID sensors.

The OnePlus 2 is a bit on the heavier side at 175 grams, as compared to the One which weighs 162 grams. It has also thickened slightly at 9.9mm, while the One comes with 8.9mm thickness.

To recap on the specifications, the OnePlus 2 persists with a full HD display rather than QHD. It flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) In-Cell display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. As it had previously revealed OnePlus has worked closely with Qualcomm s engineers to optimize the SoC for performance and also overcome its heating issues.

In the photography department, the OnePlus 2 features a 13-megapixel camera at the back with f/2.0 aperture, 4K video shooting capabilities, dual-LED flash, optical image stabilization (OIS), as well as laser autofocus similar to what we have seen on the LG G4. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

The flagship also packs a 3,300mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, LTE support on both SIM cards, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop-based Oxygen OS.
