Minutes after unveiling the OnePlus 2 via a virtual reality launch event, the company has revealed the Indian pricing as well. It will first launch only the 64GB variant for Rs 24,999, which will go on sale exclusively via Amazon India on August 11. OnePlus has also said that it will launch the 16GB variant of the OnePlus 2 on a later date, which will be priced at Rs 22,999. To put it into perspective, the OnePlus One was launched in India at Rs 18,999 and Rs 21,999 for the 16GB and 64GB variants. As far as specifications are concerned, the OnePlus 2 flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080p In-Cell display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The 16GB variant though will feature 3GB of RAM.
It also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS and laser autofocus, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,300mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop-based Oxygen OS.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 2 is a definite upgrade over the OnePlus One. It features a magnesium aluminum alloy frame, swappable back covers called StyleSwap Covers, a new USB Type-C port, as well as a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button.
