OnePlus will be unveiling the OnePlus 2 later this month, and has been teasing different aspects of the smartphone in the run up. While it has managed to create quite a buzz, it seems quite bullish about the forthcoming flagship s prospects a tad too much maybe. As seen in the above tweet, OnePlus is thanking all its partners that helped in creating the OnePlus 2. What caught our eyes is that it describes the forthcoming flagship as a 2016 flagship killer . Having only just crossed the halfway mark of 2015, it seems quite bold that OnePlus would claim that the OnePlus 2 is better than next year s flagships that have yet to even make it to the rumor mills.
As OnePlus plans to launch its flagship on July 28, we will have to wait and see just how good the smartphone really is. The company is hosting a virtual reality event that kicks off on July 28 at 07:30AM, and you will need to buy the OnePlus Cardboard VR headset that is currently on sale via Amazon India for Rs 99.
The company has already revealed that the OnePlus 2 will be powered by an improved version of the Snapdragon 810 processor, which has reportedly overcome the heating issues. It will also feature 4GB of RAM, an USB Type C port, a physical home button with a fingerprint sensor, and a 3,300mAh battery, with faster LTE connectivity.
As far as rumors are concerned, the OnePlus 2 is likely to sport a slimmer full-metal body, 5.5-inch full HD display, a 13-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and dual-SIM card slots.
As for pricing, the company has revealed that the OnePlus 2 will cost somewhere between $320 and $450. OnePlus will also be introducing a new invite system that is easier to get, due to a relatively larger inventory they are preparing ahead of the launch.
