After rolling out the OxygenOS 3.5.4 update for the new OnePlus 3T smartphones last week, the company has now started rolling out a new update for the OnePlus 2 smartphones. The new OxygenOS 3.5.5 update comes as a significant update by offering a long awaited feature, VoLTE support for the phone. Now, talking about the new OxygenOS 3.5.5 update, OnePlus 2 users will be able to make VoLTE calls, however as mentioned earlier, it will work for some carriers only. Apart from the VoLTE support, the update brings some minor updates and redesign to the interface. New features include App Lock, Battery Saving Mode, Gaming Mode, new Alert Slider options, and a new Volume Adjustment Bar. There are also some bug fixes and shelf optimisations that have been addressed with this update.
Besides, OnePlus also wants to know your feedback after you run the OxygenOS 3.5.5 update on your OnePlus 2. On its forum, OnePlus has given some useful links as well if you somehow want to downgrade your OnePlus 2 firmware to OxygenOS 3.10. As we mentioned that the update is rolling out in a phased manner, so OnePlus 2 users who have not received any update notifications yet, should receive the OTA update notification in a next few days. Additionally, do note that OnePlus forum’s flashing guide has been taken down due to an IMEI issue when performing the downgrade. OnePlus says it is working on it the issue and it will be fixed soon.
