Just a few days ago, Zihou teased an all metal OnePlus 2, when he took to the Chinese microblogging website to ask his followers to define full metal. Now, adding fuel to Zihou’s hints, the render also sports a full metal build. Also Read - OnePlus 6 Alert Slider button likely to let users adjust camera focus
OnePlus has already revealed that the OnePlus 2 will be powered by an improved version of Snapdragon 810 chipset that has reportedly overcome its heating issues. Furthermore the company has also revealed that it will feature a USB Type-C port, and a fingerprint scanner that is better and faster than Apple s TouchID sensor. The fingerprint sensor is not seen at the back and therefore it could be integrated into the home button just like the iPhones. As for pricing, the company says it won t be cheap and will retail upwards of $322 (Rs 20,540 approximately).
As far as rumors are concerned, the OnePlus 2 is likely to feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display, 4GB/3GB of RAM, 16-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and on the software front, it will run on Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS or Oxygen OS in India. Leaked sketches hint at a possible dual-camera setup at the back, and a Bluetooth certification filing claims that the OnePlus 2 could be available in three variants.
It s not a long wait till July 27 when OnePlus takes the wraps off its latest flagship. The company is hosting a unique virtual reality event, and has created its own custom Cardboard VR for the big unveil. The company is giving away free OnePlus Cardboard headsets to selected users, while it will officially go on sale later this month exclusively via Amazon India, priced at Rs 99.
