OnePlus One was launched in basic black covers, and the bamboo styleswap cover announced just two months ago. The OnePlus 2 has been launched with four additional StyleSwap cover options namely -bamboo, black apricot, rosewood, and kevlar- for users to choose from and will be available exclusively on Amazon India. As compared to the OnePlus One, where the company had to roll out instructions for swapping back covers, the StyleSwap covers of the OnePlus 2 are easy to change in seconds, and does not require any tools.
The black sandstone is the default cover that will come on every OnePlus 2. The other four options will be available for $27 (Rs 1,750) per piece. Just to put things into perspective, the OnePlus One bamboo cover is priced at Rs 1,499.
OnePlus 2 is exclusive to Amazon India and will be available staring August 11 through the invite model. It is priced at Rs 22,999 for 16GB and Rs 24,999 for 64GB. As far as specifications are concerned, the OnePlus 2 flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) In-Cell display, and is powered by an improved Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor paired with 4GB of RAM.
On the photography front, the smartphone features 13-megapixel f/2.0 snapper at the back with optical image stabilization (OIS), and laser autofocus. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. The smartphone also features a 3,300mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, LTE support on both SIM cards, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop-based Oxygen OS.
