The company claims that the new invite system will be way more easy to get, due to a relatively larger inventory they are preparing ahead of the launch. During its first stint with the One, the company was unsure of how the customers would react to the smartphone, and hence built an invite system to manage inventory risk and cash flow. However, after receiving the phenomenal response for the One, OnePlus has decided to scale up 50 times more, and thereby it will make available a large amount of handsets from the very beginning. It also will launch a reservation list system which will put early backers on priority to ensure that they get the OnePlus 2 a lot sooner.
Even the process of sharing invites after you purchase the smartphone will become faster. Earlier, after you purchased the One, it took a while before invites became available. Now, that process is said to have sped up, inevitable leading to users being able to buy the handset sooner.
OnePlus is conducting a virtual reality event to unveil its next flagship. The VR headset for the event will be available on Amazon India for Rs 99 starting tomorrow. The OnePlus 2 will have an improved version of the Snapdragon 810 processor, USB Type C port, a physical home button with a fingerprint sensor, a 3,300mAh battery, faster LTE, dual-SIM support and that the smartphone will cost between $320-$450.
As far as rumors are concerned, the OnePlus 2 may sport a slimmer full metal body. It is likely to feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display. Additionally, the OnePlus 2 may sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, just like its predecessor.
