Since it’s a virtual reality event, you need to have a VR headset. OnePlus had launched a Loop VR headset especially for the OnePlus 3 launch event. The Loop VR is already sold out. If you don’t have the Loop VR, you can use any other VR headset. Don’t forget that you need to download and install the ‘OnePlus 3 Launch: The Loop’ app from Google Play store.
If you haven’t been following OnePlus, here’s what you need to know. The OnePlus 3 is the latest flagship smartphone from OnePlus and is successor to the popular OnePlus 2 that launched last year. The smartphone will go on sale tomorrow in India on June 15. Ahead of the launch, a lot of details about the smartphone have emerged online. According to OnePlus’ ad in a newspaper today, the OnePlus 3 will be priced for Rs 27,999 (6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant). Rumors suggest that the company will offer as many as six variants of the smartphone.
Talking about the specifications, the OnePlus 3 will be powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 820 processor and paired with 6GB/4GB of RAM. The smartphone will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants. So far, there is no word on the availability of other variants of the smartphone in India. The OnePlus 3 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display.
On the camera front the it sports a 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front-facing cameras. It comes with 3,000mAh non-removable battery with Dash Charge feature. Connectivity options include G LTE with VoLTE support, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. On the software front, the smartphone will most likely run Android Marshmallow based OxygenOS.
It will also come with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home button. With the OnePlus 3, OnePlus will be doing away with the invite system.
