OnePlus 5, touted as the next ‘flagship killer’, has been buzzing around for quite some time, and is expected to launch very soon. Recently an image of the OnePlus 5 emerged online claiming to be the render of the smartphone, though it later turned out to have quite a few loopholes. Shortly after a set of photos allegedly clicked by the OnePlus 5 have surfaced online. A total of four photos and its EXIF information have surfaced. One of the images also supports the previous rumors that the OnePlus 5 could feature a dual rear camera setup.
The photos were provided by a source to TrueTech and the EXIF information reveals they could have been clicked by the OnePlus 5. The EXIF data contains the details of the images like shutter speed, aperture, model, focal length and more. According to the EXIF data, the device model is listed as ONEPLUS A5000, which goes with the previous sighting of a OnePlus smartphone with the same model number on China Radio Regulation Authority’s website. Furthermore, the latitude and longitude mentioned are that of Shenzen, China which is coincidental again as OnePlus’ headquarters are located in Shenzen.
Moving on to the photos clicked by the alleged OnePlus 5, they are close up shots. The photo, which has the leaves on the ground, shows the depth of field effect. Although this photo doesn’t necessarily confirm the bokeh effect, it only complements the rumors about the dual cameras on the OnePlus 5. There isn’t any word on the specifications for the dual cameras though, and also whether they would come with sensors similar to the iPhone 7 Plus and the Mi 6. Earlier, it was reported that the OnePlus would sport a single 23-megapixel rear camera. ALSO READ: OnePlus 5 leaked image shows dual rear camera setup
Dual cameras on the OnePlus 5 wouldn’t be a surprise as the company is said to make major changes on its next flagship. The OnePlus 5 is said to feature a sleek design with thinner bezels. OnePlus could also opt for a dual-edge curved display like the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge for its next flagship. The smartphone has also been rumored to come with a massive 8GB of RAM. With all these major upgrades expected, OnePlus 5 would indeed be at par with the premium flagship devices launched this year. ALSO READ: OnePlus 5 leak hints at 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 835 chipset
In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 5 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC. In terms of storage, the OnePlus 5 could come in variants of 64GB or 128GB which would be further expandable up to 256GB. For selfies, the smartphone could sport a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The OnePlus 5 could be powered by a 4,000mAh battery along with the company’s Dash Charge technology. For connectivity, the smartphone will most likely feature a USB Type-C port. On the software front, the smartphone is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with OxygenOS running on top.
