OnePlus is taking a lot of pride in the making of the new soft gold color variant. It says that the soft gold OnePlus 5 is 30 percent finer than that of previous OnePlus Soft Gold devices. “It takes an average of 180 days to create and perfect a coating of soft gold. Aside from the new color, the soft gold version of the OnePlus 5 is identical to the model released two months ago. The OnePlus 5 comes with a a 5.5-inch full HD Optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset, and it comes in two variants, that is, one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage, and an 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant. The graphics are handled by an Adreno 540 GPU.
For photography, the OnePlus 5 sports a dual-camera setup at the rear, which is a combination of a 16-megapixel sensor and a 20-megapixel one. The 16-megapixel sensor, which is powered by Sony IMX398, comes with f/1.7 aperture, and the secondary 20-megapixel, powered by Sony IMX350, is a telephoto zoom lens comes with f/2.6 aperture, and better lossless zoom capabilities.
Fueling the smartphone is a 3,300mAh non-removable battery, which is supported by Dash Charging technology. For connectivity, the OnePlus 5 includes Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE. OnePlus 5 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat based OxygenOS 4.5 out-of-the-box and supports dual nano SIM cards.
