Buyback programs are one of the wise choices to make if you like to upgrade your smartphones soon after its next edition is launched. OnePlus too is now offering a buyback program where you can exchange an old device to buy a new OnePlus smartphone at a lucrative discount.
The program was first announced back in 2015, and now the OnePlus 5T has been added to the list of devices for which you can trade-in an older device. If you couldn’t purchase the OnePlus 5T during the e-commerce sale period which ended last week, then you could purchase the flagship smartphone under the buyback program. This is how it works.
The buyback scheme is provided by Manak Waste Management Pvt Ltd. (Cashify). It must be noted that the buyback service can be availed after an order for a new OnePlus smartphone has been placed through the official oneplusstore.in. Once you provide the details of your old device, you will be provided with a maximum possible quote for your device. The exchange facility is currently available only in select cities, and applicable on specific brands and models. Check the buyback details and then proceed with the purchase of a new OnePlus 5T.
Unlike other exchange programs where the old device is handed over at the same time as the delivery of the new device, the OnePlus buyback program first delivers you the newly purchased phone after the payment has been made. The pickup of the old device is scheduled at a later date. The Cashify team will schedule a pickup and based on verification, cash will be handed over to you at the very time the device is getting picked up by a representative.
You can check for the eligibility and approximate buyback offer according to the older device you want to exchange on the official website. For instance, an Apple iPhone 6s can get you up to Rs 21,250 under the trade-in scheme. The OnePlus 5 (64GB) model is eligible for up to Rs 20,700 discount.
OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 5T Lava Red variant. Available only in one version of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, the Lava Red model costs Rs 37,999. This model retains all the innards of the original OnePlus 5T with dual-camera setup, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, and 3,300mAh battery.
To recall, the OnePlus 5T features a 6.01-inch full HD Optic AMOLED 18:9 display with 2160×1080 pixels resolution. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. For optics, the smartphone packs a 16-megapixel+20-megapixel rear camera. Up front, there’s a 16-megapixel camera. Other features include Face Unlock, fingerprint scanner, all-metal unibody and NFC support.
