After launching the Star Wars Limited Edition of the OnePlus 5T, OnePlus has now launched the Sandstone White variant of the phone. The new variant is available for $599 (Rs 35,300 approximately) and will go on sale in the US starting January 9 via OnePlus’ official website. Previously, the company launched two other special variants of the OnePlus 5T – the Star Wars edition and the Lava Red edition. It isn’t clear whether the Sandstone White model of the OnePlus 5T will be available in India.
The OnePlus 5T Sandstone White will only come in the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage configuration. It’s a limited model, and OnePlus says it’ll only be available while stocks last. The smartphone flaunts a grippy sandstone texture with all-aluminum chassis. OnePlus says that it took 100 prototypes to perfect the new OnePlus 5T Sandstone White edition.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that OnePlus might launch Lava Red variant in India on January 26. OnePlus has launched the Lava Red variant in China last month to mark four years of its existence in the country.
To recap, the OnePlus 5T features a 6-inch full-HD+ Optic AMOLED screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio, with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, and comes with a 3,300mAh battery which supports the company’s Dash Charge fast charging technology.
OnePlus 5T features dual rear cameras with a combination of a 16-megapixel sensor and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor for low-light photography. The smartphone retains the 16-megapixel selfie camera and runs OxygenOS based on Android 7.1 Nougat. The OnePlus 5T also comes with the new face recognition for lock-screen security. Connectivity options include dual-SIM with VoLTE support, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
