Yet another teaser has been shared by OnePlus, and this one hints at some advance gesture controls on the OnePlus 6. The company first introduced gesture controls with the Android Oreo Open Beta 3 update for the OnePlus 5T, but they seem to be upping the gesture support with the OnePlus 6.

The words “Speed up your experience with gestures” in the new teaser are the biggest giveaway of the gesture support, besides which the video itself also does point towards the use of various swipe actions.

OnePlus hasn’t exactly revealed yet what the exact gestures will be supported, but if previous Open Beta updates are anything to go by, OnePlus 6 might come with at least three different gestures, similar to those seen on the iPhone X. These will allow users to go back to home, check out the app overview, or simply swipe a certain way to go back.

Other than that, OnePlus recently confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will be available in a 256GB storage option, which is definitely a first for the company. Company CEO Pete Lau also revealed that the device will be equipped with 8GB of RAM on-board. In the past, OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

Last week, company co-founder Carl Pei also confirmed that OnePlus 6 will feature a notch. The company seems to be following on the footsteps of sister brand Oppo, which also embraced notch for its flagship R15 and Oppo F7 smartphones. In fact, it is widely believed that OnePlus 6 is going to imitate the design of the Oppo R15.

However, the news of the notch rustled a lot of jimmies on the OnePlus forum. Fans began to complain on the lines of OnePlus not listening or caring to its fans’ opinions and forcing the notch on them just to jump on the latest design fad. So yesterday, OnePlus revealed that OnePlus 6 will soon get a feature that will allow users to hide the notch. Which means, eventually users will be able to black out the display area around the notch for a more traditional display appearance.

We are confident there are many such more teasers and confirmations coming from the company. Watch the space for all updates on the OnePlus 6.
