OnePlus is expected to launch its ‘Flagship Killer’ smartphone, the OnePlus 6T, at an event on October 17 in India. We have already had a glimpse of the device, thanks to a number of leaks. Until now, the OnePlus 6T is rumored to upgrade with ‘waterdrop’-style notch from Oppo R17 and in-display fingerprint sensor.
Adding to the leaks, OnePlus might be upgrading the battery capacity in OnePlus 6T to 3700mAh which up from current OnePlus 6‘s 3300mAh battery. The leaked image was posted on Weibo. It notes “Designed by OnePlus” on battery with model number BLP68S.
While OnePlus hasn’t announced official launch date as yet, it’s likely that there will be simultaneous launch events on October 17 in various markets, including India, China, North America and Europe. Some rumors floating on the web also suggest that OnePlus might do a keynote event prior to global launch on October 16.
OnePlus 6T – ‘Unlock The Speed’ – advertisement is already running on TV featuring Amitabh Bachhan holding the phone. The smartphone is confirmed to be exclusive to Amazon in India, similar to previous iterations.

As for the speificiations, the OnePlus 6T is expected to come with a waterdrop-style notch for the front camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a dual-camera setup at the rear. In terms of specifications, the phone will continue to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC similar to the OnePlus 6, and will also sport up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The company could maintain the same pricing as the OnePlus 6 with the incoming device.
