The OnePlus 6T has finally been launched, after much anticipation. The new smartphone is a refresh of the OnePlus 6, which was launched earlier this year. While it retains much of the same capability as the OnePlus 6, there are small changes that make it a better phone. And if you’re planning to buy the phone, there are some interesting launch offers timed with the phone going on sale in India.
Jio Cash Back of Rs 5,400, up to 3TB of data
The most interesting offer will appeal to Reliance Jio users who buy the OnePlus 6T. Users will get a total cashback of up to Rs 5,400, in the form of 36 vouchers of Rs 150 each. These vouchers can be used on recharges of Rs 299, and will be valid till March 31, 2022. The vouchers can be redeemed one at a time, and will effectively give users the Rs 299 recharge at an effective price of Rs 149. The Rs 299 plan offers 3GB of high-speed data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.
Discounts on ICICI Bank and Citi Cards
Buyers purchasing the OnePlus 6T on Amazon India with ICICI Bank Credit and Debit Cards, or Citi Credit cards will get an instant bank discount of Rs 2,000 on purchase of the phone. Although the price hasn’t been revealed, the starting price of the phone will be under Rs 40,000.
Amazon Pay Cashback
For buyers purchasing the OnePlus 6T between November 1 and November 5, Amazon India will be crediting Rs 1,000 as Amazon Pay balance, which can be used for subsequent purchases on the platform. However, the offer is only available on prepaid orders, and cash-on-delivery customers won’t be able to avail of the offer.
WATCH: OnePlus 6T Hands On
For those pre-booking the OnePlus 6T on Amazon India through a gift card, the e-commerce platform will be giving the new OnePlus Bullets Type-C headphones (normally worth Rs 1,490) for free, along with Rs 500 as cashback in the form of Amazon Pay balance. This can be used on subsequent purchases on Amazon India.
OnePlus 6T Specifications and Features
The OnePlus 6T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845SoC, has a slightly larger 6.41-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen, and sports a larger 3,700mAh battery. Charging sticks to OnePlus’ popular Dash Charge standard (simply called fast charging in certain markets).
Another key change in the OnePlus 6 is the omission of the 3.5mm jack; OnePlus has included a USB Type-C to 3.5mm dongle in the sales package, and has also launched its own Bullets Type-C headphones. The signature feature is the in-display fingerprint sensor, which works through the screen of the phone.
