It has now emerged that OnePlus is closing an unprecedented partnership with T-Mobile that could leverage future top-line sales in the United States. This collaboration, however, will not affect sales in the global market, and the device will still be compatible with both the T-Mobile network and AT&T. Currently, the built-in modems on OnePlus phones aren’t compatible with Verizon and Sprint networks. As of writing this report, there isn’t any concrete rumor that indicates that would change with the OnePlus 6T. The expected price of the successor to the OnePlus 6 would probably be in the vicinity of $550 ( 38,000) for the base model. This is close to half of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Apple iPhone X.

This isn’t the first time a device manufacturer struck a deal with an American operator. Although contracts with operators in the US is common, device companies such as Essential have worked with Sprint in the US. However, the resulting sales of the PH-1 wasn’t as encouraging as it might have expected. Despite these market figures, expectations from OnePlus continue to be high owing to its high-end hardware and brand value.
