Just yesterday, OnePlus launched a special edition of its flagship smartphone in the UK. Called, OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, this variant has been developed in collaboration with British supercar-maker McLaren. Moments ago, this special edition was launched in India. Read on to find out everything about the new smartphone.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition features
The differences between the McLaren Edition and the standard OnePlus 6T variants start from the design itself. The special edition retains the glass body, but underneath is a carbon fibre texture. The bottom edges also feature the Papaya Orange strip giving the device a racy look. The OnePlus logo is placed just the below the camera module, while towards the bottom is the McLaren logo.
Another big difference is in how the battery on the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition charges. The smartphone supports what OnePlus calls Warp Charge 30. With this tech, the 3,700mAh battery can be charged to 50 percent in just 20 minutes.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition specifications
As far as the specifications are concerned, the smartphone flaunts a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC paired with 10GB of RAM.
For photography, the device is equipped with dual-cameras at the back that includes a combination of 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors. For selfies, there will be a 16-megapixel snapper at the front.
Security is taken care by an in-display fingerprint sensor, and face unlock. On the software front, the dual-SIM smartphone runs Android Pie out-of-the-box.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition price, availability
The new smartphone comes with a special design, and with a couple of new upgrades when compared to the standard OnePlus 6T variant. With a whopping 10GB of RAM, and 256GB storage onboard, this smartphone is priced at Rs 50,999. To put this into perspective, the top-variant of the standard OnePlus 6T is priced at Rs 45,999.
The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will be available via Amazon India. The sale kicks off on December 15, but buyers will be able to get it early on December 13 from the Delhi experience store.
