OnePlus is all set to launch a special edition of its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Speed Orange, in the UK later today. The smartphone will be sold exclusively via Amazon India, and the “notify me” page for the same has also gone live. The special version of the OnePlus 6T will feature a color and theme in line with the McLaren Formula One racing team and supercar manufacturer. Now, ahead of the global launch, the smartphone’s price in Europe has been leaked.
According to tipster Ishan Agrawal, the smartphone will cost €699 in the European markets, which is approximately Rs 57,500. However, in certain countries, users may end up paying about €709 due to higher taxes, which is approximately Rs 58,300.
There is no word on India pricing yet, but if we have to take a wild guess, it could be priced just under Rs 50,000, maybe Rs 49,999. In comparison, the OnePlus 6T 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model costs Rs 45,999. It will be interesting to see how OnePlus will price the McLaren Edition model in India.

Reports suggest that besides the color and theme of McLaren, the smartphone will see two important upgrades. These include 10GB of RAM, and 50W ‘wrap charge’ tech which can offer full day worth talktime in just 20 minutes of charging. The 50W charging will be reportedly based on Oppo‘s Super VOOC charging tech. It will also come with 256GB storage, reports state.
Rest of the specifications are likely to remain the same as the OnePlus 6T. This includes Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC, dual rear cameras 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel, a 16-megapixel front camera, 3,700mAh battery and Android 9 Pie OS out of the box.
