We are just a few hours away from the official unveiling of OnePlus 6T, yet, leaks don’t stop pouring. We have come across leaked videos, features and specifications, and now, unboxing photos of the smartphone have also surfaced, courtesy of SlashLeaks. The unboxing photos not only show the OnePlus 6T design from the front and back, but also show off the in-box contents.
In the first photo, we can see the front of the OnePlus 6T featuring a full screen display, a waterdrop style notch and an in-display fingerprint scanner. In the next photo, we can see the back of the smartphone, and while it looks like metallic finish, we assume it is more like a frosted glass. You can see the dual camera modules followed by the LED flash and OnePlus logo symmetrically in the center. The other photo also shows the USB Type C cable and the charging plug.
Watch: OnePlus 6 Red First Look
From what we know so far, the OnePlus 6T will sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 6GB / 8GB RAM options, and 128GB / 256GB storage options. We don’t expect any change in the camera department compared to the OnePlus 6. However, OnePlus may add some AI chops such as scene detection and Night mode to let you take better photos in low-light.
One of the notable changes will come in the form of an in-display fingerprint scanner, something that OnePlus has already talked about. Secondly, the company is also doing away with the legacy 3.5mm audio socket, and will instead rely on Bluetooth or USB Type-C port for audio. The space created by eliminating the 3.5mm socket will be used to add a bigger 3,700mAh battery. Lastly, the smartphone will run Android 9 Pie with OxygenOS skin on top.
