OnePlus Crackables crypto-puzzle goes live today: Winner gets Rs 21,74,000 gaming setup

OnePlus announced Crackables, a crypto-based puzzle in partnership with Google last evening. The limited time game developed by Sleep Deprivation Lab is now open for anyone to participate and players will be actually able to play games starting 5.30PM IST on their mobile device.

The game includes a series of puzzles based on skill and speed to compete and players have the opportunity to win a $30,000 (equivalent to Rs 21,74,000) gaming setup and other prizes. The gameplay involves a guide who will help users through a series of puzzles to progress. OnePlus says these puzzles will be both digital and physical and only the first 1,000 people making it through the first three challenges will qualify to continue on their pursuit to win $30,000 gaming setup.

Once you complete the first three challenges, OnePlus will send a microcontroller need to become a possible winner. The game will essentially involve a bit of brainstorming and will be a race against time since a lot of OnePlus fans are expected to start playing the game once it goes live later this evening. OnePlus is known for pulling events like this which tends to draw a lot of engagement among its core users. With Crackables, the company is mainly focusing on gaming, which has turned into a high growth segment. OnePlus already touts its newest flagship, the OnePlus 6, has the most powerful smartphone with Snapdragon 845 SoC and 8GB of RAM.

OnePlus also announced that it will soon launch its first Smart TV and its CEO Pete Lau detailed plans behind entering the second product segment. Lau says he will head the Smart TV division alongside the existing smartphone division. With its Smart TV, OnePlus could challenge the likes of Xiaomi’s Mi TV in the smart TV segment.
