Although the focus of its coming event on October 30 will firmly be on the OnePlus 6T, it seems that OnePlus has a second smaller product also lined-up to launch on the same day. OnePlus today revealed details on the OnePlus Explorer Backpack, the latest in its range of fan accessories designed to accompany the smartphones. The Explorer Backpack is the successor to last year’s Travel Backpack from the company, which was launched alongside the OnePlus 5.
The OnePlus Explorer Backpack has been unveiled on the company’s forum, with its design and compartments being revealed. The backpack sports a reportedly simpler design, with a ‘secret’ compartment at the back for storing valuables that won’t be easily spotted, along with a padded laptop compartment that keeps your laptop safe. Additionally, another compartment comes with breathable vents for wet items such as umbrellas or jackets.
The bag also features Cordura fabric, which is said to make it more durable, tear-resistant and stronger at the stitches, along with sporting a ‘Fidlock’, a newly designed locking mechanism which uses magnets to keep the backpack shut. The OnePlus Explorer Backpack will be available in two colors – slate black and morandi green – similar to the OnePlus Travel Backpack which also comes in those colors.
While pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, the price of the Explorer Backpack could be close to the Rs 3,990 asking price for the Travel Backpack. The OnePlus clothing and accessories products are currently being sold in India on oneplus.in, the company’s online e-store. It could be unveiled on October 30 alongside the OnePlus 6T, with sales kicking off in November.
