They may be fierce rivals, but there s no denying the similarities between Xiaomi and OnePlus One. Every time one of them introduces an offer, or slashes prices, the other follows suit. After launching in India in an exclusive partnership with Flipkart, Xiaomi has since ventured out to offline stores and other e-commerce sites like Amazon India and Snapdeal. The e-commerce site put out a teaser yesterday, which read, The One Wish Flipkart hasn t fulfilled yet is about to come true. While that in itself isn t proof enough, tech blog TheTecholic cites sources as saying that the OnePlus One will go on sale via Flipkart as early as Monday.
The OnePlus One is currently available on Amazon India via open sale. After price cuts, the 16GB variant is retailing at Rs 18,998, while the 64GB variant is retailing at Rs 21,998. The latter is currently out of stock, and according to the blog, will be the first to go on sale via Flipkart, followed later by the 16GB variant.
To recap, the OnePlus One flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD display, and is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It offers 16GB and 64GB internal storage, but no microSD card to expand it.
The flagship also features 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 3,100mAh battery, and connectivity options like LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Cyanogen OS 12 or Oxygen OS.
