OnePlus X to be available to buy without invites via Ola on December 8

OnePlus has tied up with Ola to offer the smartphone via the taxi aggregator s app. As seen in the above image, on December 8 the Ola app will feature an OnePlus X button that can be used to buy the smartphone. Ola promises that once the order has been placed, the smartphone will be delivered to one s door steps within 15 minutes. The OnePlus X will be available via the app between 10:00AM and 7:00PM in seven cities. These include Mumbai, Pune, Delhi/NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahmadabad. In the meanwhile, the smartphone will be available on Amazon India, but an invite will be needed to buy it.

This isn t the first time OnePlus has tied up with Ola. In August, the companies got together to offer interested buyers a hands-on experience with the OnePlus 2, which was going on sale via Amazon India.

OnePlus X price, specifications and features: The OnePlus X was launched in October, priced at Rs 16,999 for the Onyx variant, and Rs 22,999 for the limited-edition Ceramic variant. The smartphone features a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, and 3GB of RAM.

The smartphone also features 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel selfie camera, FM Radio, and a 2,525mAh battery, There is also a physical Alert Slider switch on the side, connectivity options like hybrid dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, it runs on Oxygen OS based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
