By now, we already know that OnePlus is all geared up to launch a mid-range, compact smartphone. Dubbed as OnePlus X, the yet to be announced smartphone has been leaked on several occasions. The company has now sent invites for October 29 event in New Delhi with an X theme, further hinting the possible launch of OnePlus X. From what we ve heard so far, the OnePlus X will debut in India and will later be expanded to other markets. The company also recently announced its Make in India plans with Foxconn, so there are chances that the smartphone would most likely be manufactured in India. A couple of days back, the company again teased the smartphone by posting a photo via its official Twitter account. The tweet reads Like nothing else we’ve made before. #PowerfullyBeautiful, with a caption Beauty in the making. The image itself doesn t reveal anything, except for the sharp edges and a flash of light, which could most possibly be the engraving process of the company s logo.

OnePlus X specifications and features: As per the rumors, the OnePlus X is expected to come with mid-range specifications, with pricing around $220 (approximately Rs 14,500). It could pack a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display and powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 801 processor, paired with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. Also on the offer would be 16GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion.
For camera lovers, the smartphone could come equipped with a 13-megapixel rear module with LED flash. There have also been rumors that the OnePlus X might come with some sort of dual-camera setup. The front-facing selfie camera could be either 5-megapixel or an 8-megapixel unit.
The OnePlus X is expected to come with 3,000mAh battery with Qualcomm s Quick Charge 2.0 and connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, NFC, among others. We will be on the ground to cover the launch event on October 29, stay tuned!
