Opera Mini has released a revamped version of its mobile web browser for iPhone and iPad users. And from what Opera claims, the browser is four times faster than its previous version. The new version features a news feed on its start page, which is powered by an Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine. For now, this update has rolled out only in select countries, which includes India. As of today, the Opera AI-powered newsreader is available in select countries such as Ghana, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania and the United States. It will be soon coming to Russia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. For Indian users, besides English, the news feed is available in Gujarati, Hindi and Tamil. Opera s AI news engine uses real-time intelligence ranking, which is powered by machine learning and deep learning. Essentially, once you start engaging with news content, the engine begins defining a unique user profile by accumulating news categories and publisher domains you would habitually click on. The news engine analyzes the user interest through a deep learning model that understands what each user is engaged with. The more you engage with the newsfeed, the more in-tune the content becomes for you. And your customized content will be placed within the For You section.
Further, the Artificial Intelligence support for the browser also allows you a more personalized start page each time you use it. No setup or customization is required. The more you read, the more personalized the news feed will become. ALSO READ: 4 reasons why you should use VPN for private web browsing
