After launching the A59 smartphone earlier this month, OPPO has today launched another affordable smartphone in its A series, called the A37. The smartphone is now on sale in China, priced at 1,299 Yuan (Rs 13,300 approximately). The OPPO A37 will be going on sale in Singapore and Indonesia, but there is currently no word on an India launch. OPPO A37 specification, features: The A37 features a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM, and on offer is 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, the OPPO A37 is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an Ultra HD mode that lets you click a photo at 24-megapixels. Up front is a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture, beauty mode and screen flash.
The smartphone also comes with 2,630mAh battery and runs Android Lollipop 5.1 with ColorOS 3.0. On the connectivity front, the smartphone comes with a dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
If OPPO were to stick to this price range, the A37 will face tough competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2 and the Lenovo K4 Note to name a few. These smartphones offer a much better set of specifications and features compared to the A37.
