Oppo has launched another new smartphone in the country as part of its Selfie Expert series. The new Oppo A5 comes as the successor to Oppo A3s, which was the first in its series to receive dual rear camera setup.

Oppo A5 Specifications and Price
The Oppo A5 series is an entry-level smartphone and is aimed at those looking for an upgrade from a budget device. The Oppo A5 features a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display features a notch that allows for taller display and hides the front camera and sensors. For Oppo A5, the Chinese smartphone is using the entry-level Snapdragon 450 chipset from Qualcomm. It is coupled with 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage and Adreno 506 GPU.
In terms of imaging, the Oppo A5 offers a 13-megapixel main camera coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary camera. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The Oppo A5 runs ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and packs a large 4,230mAh battery. Oppo claims the A5 can deliver 14 hours of video playback or 11 hours of gaming on a single charge.

Oppo A5 is a 4G-enabled smartphone and it lacks fingerprint sensor similar to the Realme 1 smartphone. The Oppo A5 is priced at Rs 14,990 and will be offered in mirror blue and mirror pink color. Oppo, which recently dropped to number 4 in the Indian smartphone market, is trying to regain some of the market share in the mid-range segment with the new device.
