Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has just announced its latest smartphone for the budget segment, the Oppo A7 in India. The company revealed the specifications for the device on its official website including the images of the device to give us a hint about what to expect. This listing indicates that the company is planning to launch the device in India in the coming days. The listing comes days after the company launched the device in Nepal and China. It is already available in Nepal through offline channels and Oppo has scheduled the device to go on sale in China today.
According to the listing on the Oppo India website, the Oppo A7 will come with a 6.2-inch display with HD+ resolution (1520×720 pixels) along with a waterdrop notch. The device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 and sport up to 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with expandable storage. The listing also indicated that Oppo is likely to launch two variants of the device, the first with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, and the second with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Oppo A7 also comes with support for expandable storage and users can use microSD cards of up to 256GB capacity to increase the storage if they are running out of space.

The A7 will run on a 4,230mAh battery with Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 on the software end. In the camera department, Oppo has added a dual camera setup on the back of the device with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for depth mapping. The device will come with an LED flash module on the back and Oppo has added a 16-megapixel camera sensor on the front for selfies.
In terms of connectivity options, the device will come with VoLTE enabled dual Nano-SIM slot, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm audio socket, and microUSB port. The company has also added a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device and it will be available in Glaring Gold and Glaze Blue colors.
