Oppo quietly announced Oppo A7x, a version of Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro with bigger storage in China, early this month. The smartphone was not accompanied by a standard variant at the time of launch and now, a new leak suggests that the Chinese smartphone maker is indeed planning to introduce a standard model called the Oppo A7.
A new leak, courtesy of Slashleaks, has offered a glimpse into complete specifications of the upcoming Oppo A7. Looking at the specifications, it seems like the Oppo A7 will basically be a tweaked version of Oppo A5 smartphone. The company is known for offering tweaked versions of its existing models under A-series in its home market of China. The leaked specifications suggest that the Oppo A7 will be just under mid-range smartphone to join Oppo’s growing lineup.
In terms of specifications, the Oppo A7 will feature a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. The Oppo A5, on the other hand, has same hardware but comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
It seems like the difference between Oppo A5 and Oppo A7 will come down to your storage preference. Other hardware details leaked by Slashleaks include a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and a combination of 13-megapixel and a 2-megapixel cameras at the back. It will support WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE but lacks support for NFC.
