Oppo has launched A71 selfie-centric smartphone as the latest addition to its A-series product portfolio. Like all other selfie devices from the Chinese smartphone maker, the A71 (3GB) is also equipped with company’s proprietary AI beauty technology.
The A71 (3GB) is not a new smartphone and Oppo had first launched the same smartphone with MediaTek SoC in September for Rs 12,990. The Chinese smartphone maker subsequently reduced the price by Rs 3,000. The new model announced today comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset and is priced at Rs 9,990. It will be available online via Amazon India, Flipkart and Snapdeal in Gold and Black color options.

Oppo A71 (3GB) Specifications and Features
The Oppo A71 (3GB) features a 5.2-inch display running at HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz. The processor is based on 14nm architecture, which is a marked improvement over the MediaTek chipset found on older model. The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage along with support for a microSD card.
On the camera front, the Oppo A71 (3GB) sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with support for noise reduction feature called Multi-Frame De-Noising Technology. It also supports a feature called Ultra HD which combines multiple burst photos into one to reproduce a 32-megapixel final image. It also includes a 5-megapixel front camera with large 1.4 micron pixels and AI face beautification feature for selfies. The selfie camera also supports capturing images with bokeh effect with its AI feature.
Oppo A71 (3GB) runs ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat and includes a 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone also supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G with VoLTE and uses microUSB port for charging. Having captured a significant market share in the offline segment, the new A-series devices are aimed at the online smartphone market.
