Oppo A7x official in China at 2,099 yuan; features waterdrop display, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage

Oppo A7x packs a 6.3-inch waterdrop notch display with 90.8 percent body-to-screen ratio.

Oppo has officially listed the Oppo A7x in China without any formal announcement. The company has kept the price of Oppo 7X at CNY 2,099, which is approximately Rs 22,000. There is no information of Oppo A7x coming to India as yet. It is listed to be available in China in two color options – Star Purple and Ice Flame Blue – starting September 14 at 10:00AM Beijing time.

The Oppo A7x in terms of design is much similar to recently launched Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro smartphones. It packs a 6.3-inch waterdrop notch display with 90.8 percent body-to-screen ratio. The resolution of the display is 1080 x 2340 pixels (FHD+) with 19:5:9 aspect ratio. The launch was first reported by GizmoChina.

Inside the handset is a MediaTek Helio P60 processor with four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53 cores. The Oppo A7x comes in one variant with 4GB of RAM and massive 128GB of storage, which is further expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.

In camera department, the Oppo A7x packs a horizontally aligned 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear camera setup with an LED flash. The front of the phone gets an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with Artificial intelligence mode. The same AI technology is for rear camera as well, and Oppo notes that the phone can detect up to 5 different scenes using AI.

The Oppo A7x smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo OS-based ColorOS 5.2 on top. The battery is noted as 4230mAh, which is larger than the 3500mAh seen on Oppo F9. The smartphone comes with face unlock and fingerprint sensor security options.
