Oppo India has just launched its latest smartphone in the Indian market, the Oppo F9. The company announced the device at a launch event here in Mumbai, while sharing details about the device. It comes months after the company launched its Oppo F7 and weeks after it launched the much anticipated Oppo Find X in the market. Oppo has essentially launched two variants of the new smartphone. The Oppo F9 with 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 19,990. Then there is the Oppo F9 Pro with 6GB RAM, and 64GB storage that is priced at Rs 23,990. Also Read - Best wearable gift ideas under Rs 5,000 for Father's Day 2021
Buyers will be able to take advantage of a bunch of offers. These include a one-time screen replacement, up to Rs 4,900 worth of benefits from Reliance Jio, and up to 10 percent cashback when using ICICI credit card. Those who pre-order the device via offline channels will be entitled to a 3D metallic bottle.
Oppo F9, F9 Pro specifications, features
Talking about the specifications, both the devices share most the of specifications and features with minor differences. Apart from the difference in the RAM, the Oppo F9 comes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera, while the F9 Pro comes with a 25-megapixel selfie camera. Another difference is that the F9 Pro comes with VOOC Flash charging support.
Besides these, the smartphones come with a 6.3-inch FHD+ LTPS IPS LCD display panel with 1080×2340 pixels resolution, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC with an octa-core CPU along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the internal storage.
For photography, both variants come with a dual-camera setup at the back. This setup includes a 16-megapixel primary camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 2-megapixel depth sensor along with an LED flash module. Making sure everything ticks is a 3,500mAh battery. The device runs Android Oreo 8.1-based Color OS 5.2 out-of-the-box.

In terms of connectivity options, the smartphones come with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, and microUSB port. The company has also added a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device for bio-metric security along with face unlock feature in software.
