The Oppo F9 was launched in India earlier this week, and it will be available for the first time starting today. Unlike the mega event that saw the launch of the Oppo F9 Pro, the new smartphone’s launch announcement was a rather muted affair.
Oppo F9 price, availability
The Oppo F9 is priced at Rs 19,990, and will be available today via Flipkart as well as offline retailers. Buyers will be able to choose from two color variants – Mist Black and Stellar Purple.
In comparison, the Oppo F9 Pro is priced a tad higher at Rs 23,990, and is available via Flipkart, Amazon India, Paym Mall, and a few select offline stores.

Oppo F9 specifications, features
As far as specifications are concerned, the Oppo F9 flaunts a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and waterdrop notch at the top. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core SoC paired with Mali-G72 GPU. In the memory department, the F9 gets 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. In comparison, the F9 Pro was launched with 6GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage.
For photography, the Oppo F9 is equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back that comprises of a 16-megapixel primary sensor, and 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 16-megapixel snapper up front with a dedicated Beauty mode.
The device is backed by a 3,500mAh battery, and for security there’s a fingerprint sensor at the back. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2.
