Last month, Oppo launched its F9 Pro smartphone in India. The smartphone, which offers quite a handful of features at a fairly reasonable price, was originally introduced in two colours – Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue. Now, Oppo has announced the availability of a new colour variant of the F9 Pro – Starry Purple.
The new colour, as its name suggests, is predominantly purple. However, the colour’s gradient reduces from the bottom of the real panel towards its top. Also, there are small dots on the top end that resemble stars (hence the name). The new colour variant is available on both online and offline channels at a price of Rs 23,990.
Oppo F9 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has a dedicated expansion slot that can take up microSD cards of up to 256GB. The F9 Pro’s highlight feature is its unique ‘waterdrop’ notch, which is quite smaller than conventional notches. It accentuates the already bezel-less display of the smartphone even further.
Speaking of display, Oppo F9 Pro has a 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, with Oppo’s ColorOS UI overlay baked on top.
