Oppo is gearing up to launch new smartphones from its F-series. While the company has been teasing the launch of Oppo F9 Pro in India, a new teaser hints that the Oppo F9 will be launched in Vietnam on August 15. The Oppo teasers have been hinting at a large display with a notch, which Oppo is calling “waterdrop” it has a shape of a water droplet.
Now, a new teaser confirms that the smartphone will come with a 25-megapixel AI front camera with support for HDR, allowing you to capture brighter photos in all lighting conditions. Both the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro smartphones are expected to come in Twilight Blue and Sunrise Red color options.

Twitter user @bang_gogo_ has shared an alleged live photo of the Oppo F9, which shows off the back of the smartphone. It shows off a dual camera module on the top left, along with an LED flash, and an oval fingerprint sensor on the center upper half. The diamond pattern and glass back are also visible in the leaked photo.

Meanwhile, the Oppo F9 Pro specifications were recently leaked and it is expected to come with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display running at Full HD+ resolution (1080x2280pixels). According to Oppo’s press release, the phone will have a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent, and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Under the hood, the smartphone is likely to come with a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC with an octa-core CPU, paired with 6GB of RAM.
With 128GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot with support for up to 256GB is also likely to be in tow. In the photography department, a dual rear camera setup of 16-megapixel sensors with LED flash, and a 25-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling is expected. There is no word on the launch date and India pricing, but rumors hint that it could be priced under Rs 30,000.
