Oppo just launched its Oppo F9 smartphone in China. There has been plenty of buzz around the handset lately, with people mostly talking about its unique V-shaped notch that allows the device to boast a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent. Staying true to the smartphone maker’s strategy, the Oppo F9 is said to be a selfie centric smartphone, which comes with a 25-megapixel front camera.
The Oppo F9 is being priced in Vietnam at VND 7,690,000, which roughly translates to Rs 23,300. While the smartphone has only been unveiled in China, Oppo has touted to launch it in India on August 21. The brand’s invitation calls it to be the perfect blend of art and technology. It is said to come in variety of stylish colors such as Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue and Starry Purple.
Oppo F9 features and specifications
The Oppo F9 is powered by the Helio P60 SoC, which also features ARM Mali-G72 GPU. Along with that, it comes with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM with a standard storage of 64GB. The 6.3-inch LTPS TFT screen carries a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. It features a small notch at top that houses the front camera.
In the photography department, the Oppo F9 features a dual camera setup at the back, which consists of a 16-megapixel primary sensor, running alongside a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, for depth measurement. Both cameras feature aperture of f/1.8 and f/2.4 respectively, and specialize in clicking bokeh styled images. At the front, it carries a 25-megapixel camera, which comes with a f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, microUSB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone is backed by a 3,500mAh battery, which supports Oppo’s VOOC fast charging technology that promises to deliver two hours of talk time with five minutes of charging. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo layered with ColorOS 5.2.
