Oppo Find X, the smartphone with no notch and no bezel surrounding the display, is set to launch in India today. The Chinese smartphone maker is set to announce the flagship device at an event in New Delhi at 12.30PM. The Oppo Find X was launched at an event in Paris last month. The Find X is being pitched as the answer to those who want an all-screen smartphone without any bezels or notch hiding the camera and other sensors. The smartphone carries premium pricing that rivals other flagship devices in the market, but it stands out from every other device with its unique feat of engineering. Oppo Find X Livestream and Expected Price
Oppo Find X launch event is scheduled to start at 12.30PM in the national capital. The livestream of the event will be available on Oppo’s YouTube channel, and other social media platforms. In Europe, the Find X is priced at 999 (around Rs 80,100), making it one of the most premium smartphones in the market right now. One can expect the Find X to be priced in the vicinity of Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000 and the smartphone could become available in August.
At the global launch last month, Oppo also introduced limited edition model called Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition, but that model will not be launched here. The only major competition to Oppo Find X in terms of design and specifications is the Vivo NEX and NEX S, which will be launched in India on July 19.
Oppo Find X Specifications and Features
Oppo is known for creating smartphones that bring a new perspective to the table. It was one of the first to debut the swivel camera on a smartphone. With Find X, the company is raising the bar for industrial design and engineering. The central element of Find X is the motorized camera module that lifts to reveal the dual rear camera setup, and the 3D facial recognition supported front camera system.
This design allows Oppo to reduce bezels surrounding the display, and get rid of notch seen on most flagship smartphones. In terms of specifications, the Find X features a 6.42-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, and taller aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone features aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass front as well as rear.
The Find X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM, and options for 128GB or 256GB internal storage. It has pop-up dual rear camera setup comprising of 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel image sensors, and a pop-up 25-megapixel selfie shooter. The selfie camera array also includes infrared sensor and dot projector similar to Apple’s Face ID for 3D face recognition. It lacks fingerprint sensor.

The Oppo Find X offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and 4G LTE. It runs ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and is backed by a 3,730mAh battery. The smartphone will be available in red and blue color options with gradient design similar to that of Huawei P20 Pro.
