Earlier this week, we reported that the Oppo N1 mini could soon be launched in India. Today, the Chinese company has sent us a media invite for a launch event on August 11, where it could launch the smartphone.
As the name suggests, the forthcoming smartphone is a mini variant of the Oppo N1, which launched in India in January this year. In terms of specifications, the N1 mini sports a 5-inch 720p display, 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel swivel camera that can be used as a primary camera as well as front-facing camera. The camera also has an “Ultra-HD” mode that can produce 24-megapixel shots. Also included is 16GB internal storage, and a 2,140mAh battery.
In comparison, the bigger Oppo N1 features a 5.9-inch 1080p IPS display, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The smartphone also features a rotatable 13-megapixel camera, and also houses a 3,650mAh battery. Oppo had launched the phablet for Rs 39,999, but slashed the price by 13 percent in June and it now retails at Rs 32,990.
