Oppo may be planning to launch a new smartphone, the Oppo R15 Neo, in the market that is aimed at the lower-midrange price segment. Oppo has not issued any official statement about the plans for the R15 Neo. but all the specifications for the device have leaked out on the internet.
R15 Neo seems to be part of the balancing act for Oppo after the launch of the Oppo Find X. The company is already working on Oppo F9 and the F9 Pro for the mid-range price segment. According to MySmartPrice the company is likely to pack “a large-capacity battery” along with a dual camera setup on the back.
The Oppo R15 Neo will come with a 6.2-inch screen with HD+ (1520×720 pixels) resolution. The device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC with octa-core CPU clocked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 506 GPU. Oppo is likely to offer the device in two configurations where the first one will come with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and the second one will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

The device will run Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 out of the box on the software end. Talking about the camera department, Oppo will add a dual camera setup with a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 and a 2-megapixel image sensor with f/2.4 with auto-focus and LED flash module on the back of the device.
Oppo will also add a 4,230mAh battery in the R15 Neo to power the device. On the connectivity front, the device will come with a 4G VoLTE-enabled dual-SIM slot along with GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB 2.0 port. Oppo has not revealed any details on the pricing of the device but if the company plans to launch the device in India then it will be priced below the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro.
