A new smartphone listing with code name Oppo CPH1851 has been spotted on National Communications Commission (NCC) in Taiwan. The certification website also has multiple images of the phone showcasing it from all angles. Previously, the same Oppo CPH1851 was listed by Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance, and it was listed to hit the market as Oppo R15 Neo or Oppo AX5.
The NCC images and listing spotted by Nashville Chatter reveal that the Oppo smartphone will carry a horizontal dual camera setup. The anticipated Oppo R15 Neo does not feature a fingerprint scanner.
While there are no specifications listed by NCC, one could see the smartphone carrying a ‘notch’ display like the Oppo R15. In that notch, Oppo has managed to squeeze a selfie camera and an earpiece. The left edge features a volume rocker whereas a power button can be seen on the right edge. The bottom edge of mounts a speaker grille, standard Micro-USB port and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is nothing on the top edge.
The Oppo CPH1851 (expected as the Oppo R15 Neo) reportedly match with Oppo PABM00 / PABT00 images listed on TENAA. If these turn out to be true, then we could expect it to feature a 6.2-inch HD+ notched display, a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. As per TENAA, the rear dual camera setup will be of 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel, while the front camera present in the notch will be of 8-megapixel. The battery capacity for Oppo PABM00 / PABT00 was listed as 4100mAh.
Furthermore, the same Oppo PABM00 / PABT00 was listed on Geekbench with specifications including Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM and Android 8.1 Oreo.

The two device listing from TENAA, Geekbench are assumed to be same as the OPPO CPH1851 listing from Bluetooth SIG and NCC. If these are correct assumptions, then we might see the smartphone launching as budget offering from Oppo with marketing name as Oppo R15 Neo or the Oppo AX5 in some markets.
