The Oppo R17 has been leaked online on a number of occasions, right from leaked renders to listing on TENAA, revealing its key specifications and features. Now, the Oppo smartphone has just gone official, and it comes with impressive specifications. The smartphone will become available starting August 18 in China, and there is no word on the pricing, or release date in India.
The Oppo R17 is the first smartphone to come with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The smartphone also ditches the physical fingerprint scanner at the front or back, and comes with an in-display one instead. It also comes with Oppo’s proprietary VOOC fast charging technology that the company is promising to offer talktime worth two hours on five minutes of charging.
After Oppo Find X, if you thought that the notch is gone for good, well, that’s not the case. The Oppo R17 does come with a notch, but it is one of the tiniest ones that simply houses the front camera. Also, the shape resembles a water droplet.
